Oasis Takeaway has been a part of Nowra since 1980 and is a family owned and operated iconic takeaway store, located in Junction Street, the heart of Nowra’s CBD.
George and Willy Economos started business operations in 1980 and from there the business has been in the family with their son Leo currently running Oasis.
Each of Willy and Georges children has been a part of Oasis and have worked in the business throughout parts of their life.
The Oasis Takeaway Nowra is an employer of choice and has two very long term employees one of 37 years and the other of 13 years,Amongst others that have done over 10 years and moved on.
It is obvious to see that a great amount of pride is taken in the food that they prepare and serve on a daily basis. They also pride themselves on their cleanliness and on knowing their customers and providing the best service possible.
Oasis Takeaway Foods started as hot food only, however as eating trends and customer requests changed so did the variety of items on the menu which saw The Oasis progress into a popular choice of salads, sandwiches and wraps, which has expanded into the largest variety available in Nowra of made to order sandwiches,bread rolls and wraps.
